MyStory

Hi! I'm Michelle. I am a trained Birth and Labour Doula, Postpartum Doula,

and Perinatal Educator based in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada.

I am currently in the process of certification.

In August, 2017, everything I thought I knew changed when my

eldest son was placed into my arms for the very first time.

I felt like I was being born too.

Over the next three years, I would birth another beautiful boy into the world, a colossal snowstorm would hit my city shutting everything down, and a global pandemic would start.  Along the way

I would hear stories, both sad and beautiful, of other birthing people trying to navigate this crazy world we suddenly lived in. It was over those years that I would dive into the world of birth and babies, and despite the chaos present in the world, I would find my inner peace.

Sea glass is a shard of glass that has been found on a beach or in the ocean, and whose edges have been worn smooth by the motion of the waves and the roughness of the sand. I believe that birth is a transformative rite of passage in a person's life. The symbolism of being worn smooth, being made even more beautiful than before, speaks to me as a mother, and as a guide.

My passion is helping other birthing people to feel powerful and confident.

As a member and ally of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, I am committed

to serving and connecting with all kinds of people and families.

My vision is to give clarity and strength to all birthing people and their supports. My goal is to show you how much you are worth, and how much say you have over your own story.
